Ideas on Choices Workshops and Webinar

Thank you to all of those of you who came out (in person and online!) to participate in our first round of moveDC public workshops—Ideas that Build. The second round—Ideas on Choices is coming to a spot near you in early June. We've taken the input you gave us, combined it with our analysis and developed three potential scenarios for the future of transportation in the District. This round of meetings will focus on discussing and collecting feedback on these three scenarios. The meetings will have interactive activities and plenty of opportunities for your voice to be heard.

All four sessions will be the same - just different locations and times of day!

We want you to come and help shape the transportation plan. During the next year you will have the opportunity to participate through:

WORKSHOPS

Workshops will be held throughout the planning process and at different locations in the city. The workshops will offer the planning team the opportunity to work with people from across the city to build the plan. Each workshop will include fun, interactive, and meaningful activities as well as an open discussion. The themes of the three rounds of workshops will be: More information on the time, location, and content of each workshop will be available in the calendar section of the website as the workshop dates approach. Currently, information on the March 2013 workshops is available.

TRANSPORTATION PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The Transportation Plan Advisory Committee (TPAC) has an important role in supporting the planning process. The committee's membership speak for a wide range of viewpoints and provide input into the moveDC process and planning products. The TPAC is made up of District residents from each Ward active in transportation-related issue or other civic endeavors. The TPAC is charged with acting in an advisory role to the project team throughout s the plan development process. They also will help extend the plan's outreach efforts. The TPAC will provide insight on key topics during the planning process that may include: The TPAC will meet on an approximately monthly basis throughout the planning process. All of the TPAC meetings are open to the public and people are encouraged to attend and participate in the meetings. Each meeting's agenda will be structured to offer time for presentation and sharing of information; discussion by the TPAC; and questions and discussion with the public. More information on the time and location of each meeting is available in the calendar section of the website.
